September Tryouts

U9 House and Competitive

SGHA will be following Hockey Canada’s U9 pathway for development this season - https://www.owha.on.ca/content/u9-program 

Following this model there will be development sessions scheduled for ALL players in U9 prior to evaluation for competitive tryouts and house sortouts.

The development sessions will focus on skating, puck-handling, passing, and shooting, progressing to small-area games.

For U9, all players registered for the season (competitive and house) should plan to attend all the development sessions.

U11 House and Competitive C

SGHA will be following Hockey Canada’s U11 pathway for development this season - https://www.owha.on.ca/content/u11-program  

Following this model there will be development sessions scheduled for ALL U11 C and House players prior to any further competitive evaluations or house sortouts.

The development sessions will focus on skating, puck-handling, passing, and shooting, progressing to small-area games.

All current U11 C, U11s participating in competitive tryouts, and U11 house players, registered for the season should plan to attend the development sessions.
