Planned 2022-23 Competitive Teams

• U18 - BB/B and B/C
• U15 - BB/B and C
• U13 - B and C (pending numbers)

Note: U9 and U11 evaluation for Competitive programs will follow the Hockey Canada Player Pathways program and commence in September 2023. 

Below is information for players interested in the SGHA competitive program for the 2023-24 season. 

Spring Tryouts 

Participation on a SGHA competitive team is earned and no spaces are guaranteed, nor will every person trying out be guaranteed a space. All participants will be assessed by independent evaluators.

As part of the tryout process some players may be bubbled and given a list of skills on which they need to further develop to be reassessed in August.

Players trying out with SGHA from another association require OWHA permission to tryout (PTT) documentation to be sent by email to registrar@sgha.ca prior to attending their first tryout session or they will require a release from their home association. Releases must be processed electronically by the home association’s registrar prior to participating in the evaluations.

Teams may not be finalized until additional evaluation sessions are held in August.
