U11 Competitive Evaluations

Stittsville Girls Hockey U11 Competitive Team for the 2024-25 season.

I want to thank all the families for the time and effort you and your child have put into the tryout process.

I tried to make my choices on what was best for the entire U11 program and the families involved. This included consultations with both the U9 competitive and U11 house coaches who are both very knowledgeable and skilled, as well as the league officials.

My final decision on the team of only 13 was based on the overall numbers in the entire program and the overall future successes of the players within it. I only came to this conclusion during the last ice session and I was continually contemplating my options throughout this tryout and conditioning process.

This in itself has presented opportunities which once my team is settled, I will be extending onto the top U9 Competitive and the top U11 house players through their respective coaches.

I believe the girls that did not make my team will grow through their opportunity to be a top player and leader on their respective house teams and may also get to experience the U11 competitive program through invitations to our practices and possible game call-ups (I can only call up to replace a missing player for games)

I want to thank all the girls for doing what I requested of them which was “Giving all they could on the ice” and I wish you and your family a successful hockey season.
