Registration for the 2024-2025 Season is STILL OPEN!!

Costs

When you login the first time, you will need to create an account for your family. All players AND family members who have been asked to volunteer with a team must register under the account created. Please record your login information for future registrations.

Team staff members and volunteers should only register once they have been selected by the Head Coach.

PAYMENT

• Registration is online through secure payment using the RAMP registration system
• Payment is by credit card or e-transfer
• Credit card payments will be charged an administrative fee of 2.35%
• All registrations require a minimum initial payment
• Payment for season registration can be paid in full upon registration or in up to 3 equal installments. The first installment charged on July 15 then the 15^th of the following 2 months.

DISCOUNTS

Goalies

To encourage players who are interested in playing goalie, SGHA will offer the following discounts.

• A 75% registration discount will be provided to returning SGHA full-time goalies in the U13, U15, and U18 divisions for the 2024-25 season at the time of registration. Full time goalies must play the position for practices, scrimmages and game/tournament play for at least 50% of the season.
• A 75% registration refund will be provided to full time goalies new to SGHA at the end of the season. Payment must have been made in full as per the registration guidelines.
• For part time goalies, those that are part time goalie and part time player will receive a 50% discount at the time of registration if they are returning goalies to SGHA. If the part-time goalie is new to SGHA they will receive a 50% registration refund at the end of the 2023-24 season.

Please notify registrar@sgha.ca  once you have completed registration but prior to making a payment and this discount will be added to your player’s profile. In this circumstance please choose to pay offline.

Sibling

For families with three (3) or more players registered with SGHA in a season a 50% discount will be applied to the third and additional player’s registration fees.  

NOTE: Requests for the sibling discounts must be made to registrar@sgha.ca. Families requesting this discount should choose to pay ‘offline’ and the discount will be added to the player’s account prior to payment.

U9 AND U11 HOCKEY CANADA PATHWAYS

SGHA follows the Hockey Canada pathways for U9 and U11.

Sessions for these divisions will begin after Labour Day when all U9 and U11 players will participate in development or conditioning sessions prior to beginning either house sort outs or competitive tryouts.

FRIEND REQUESTS

For house players, each player will have the opportunity to request one friend with whom they would like to play in the coming season. This season that information will be collected on the registration form.

Friend requests cannot be guaranteed but will be considered if:

• They are mutual (friends request the same person i.e. Ann requests Jane and Jane requests Ann)
• There is only one friend request made by the player. If more than one submitted the last will be used
• Friend requests can only be considered at the House level

If a friend request puts a team at an unfair advantage or disadvantage, then that friend request may not be met.

U13, U15 AND U18 COMPETITIVE PROGRAM

Any player who has been selected to a U13, U15, or U18 SGHA competitive team following the spring competitive evaluation (tryout) process, must register online for the 2024-25 season.

Those who did not participate in U13 spring competitive evaluations but would like to be evaluated in the continuing U13 sessions in mid August should select the tryout package during registration. Players who participated in spring tryouts do not need to select this option.

ROCKETS T-SHIRT

This season all players will receive a Rockets t-shirt as part of their registration package. Sizing information will be collected on the registration form.

REFUND POLICY

Any player wishing to leave the association and receive a refund must submit a request in writing or by e-mail to the Registrar registrar@sgha.ca .

The refund will be based on the following chart, subject to the date when the request is received by the Registrar.

*Number of teams planned is subject to change, based on registration numbers. Competitive levels will be finalized during the tryout process.
